If you’ve read my experiment entries you will see that things were going from bad to worse.  So I made the decision to abandon the experiment and go back to trying to unlock bpc.  I decided to concentrate on electronics engineering since I could skill up on basic auxillary and basic processors by using Lyst, oil and Melchi.  However, after a little discussion with my Soc leader Pole he convinced me of the merits of chipping the last little bit to unlock bpc.  I looked at the skill implants available on auction and noticed that mechanical engineering was the cheapest and most plentiful on auction.  Since my mechanical engineering wasn’t that far behind electronic engineering I decided I may as well buy a mech chip and unlock bpc that way.  There was one on auction with a buyout of 70ped that we thought would be enough to do the job.  So I took the plunge and bought it.  With mounting anticipation I bought I implant inserter from the tt and set about inserting the skill chip.

After it was done I sat looking at the screen for the green swirlies.  None came...    I opened up my skills panel and to my shock and slight amusement it was only enough to put me on a par with my electronics engineering!  So I’ve made the decision I will continue skilling electronics to unlock it that way.  Hopefully, in 2-4 more weeks I will unlock bpc.  I will also have done it “naturally”.  Which will please the purists and also give me a sense of satisfaction.

A Slight Miscalculation
